Terms
Last updated 2026-08-01. These cover use of this website. They are not the terms of an engagement.
Who these terms are with
This site is operated by DevAxis Software Solutions, based in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and owned by Rishik Gupta. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean that business. Questions go to rishik.gupta@devaxis.ca.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
Nothing here is a quote
This is the important one. The prices published on the services page are starting prices. They are there so you can tell whether a conversation is worth having, and they are not an offer capable of acceptance, a quote, or a fixed price for your project.
A real price comes after a scoping conversation, in writing. I don’t quote a project without that conversation. That’s a working rule, not a negotiating position.
The same applies to timelines. “6–10 weeks” describes what work of that shape has typically taken. It is not a commitment until it is written into a Statement of Work with your scope in it.
Project work is governed by a separate agreement
If we work together, that engagement runs under a signed Client Agreement and Statement of Work, which sets out scope, deliverables, milestones, payment schedule, revisions, intellectual property, and what happens if either of us needs to stop.
Where anything on this website disagrees with that signed agreement, the signed agreement wins. Nothing on this site varies, replaces, or adds to it. The plain-language summary on how I work is a description of that agreement written to be readable. It is not the agreement itself.
Using this site
Read it, quote it, send it to a co-founder, and link to any page on it. What you’re asked not to do is narrow: don’t attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it, don’t submit forms automatically or in bulk, and don’t misrepresent this practice’s work as your own.
The site’s content, branding, and code are mine unless stated otherwise. TheHomeTaste is referenced with permission and its branding belongs to its owners.
The advice on this site is general
Next Move, the services descriptions, and everything written here are general guidance based on experience. They are not a technical audit of your product, and they are not legal, financial, or investment advice. Deciding what to do with your business remains yours.
I try hard to keep this site accurate and current, but I don’t warrant that it’s error-free or continuously available. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for loss arising from relying on this website alone, which is the reason the scoping conversation exists.
Links to other sites
Where this site links somewhere else, that site is not under my control and these terms don’t cover it.
Changes
These terms can change; the date at the top moves when they do. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
How your data is handled is set out separately in the privacy policy.
