Find your next move
One question about where you are, one optional question about what’s in the way, and a straight answer about what to do next, including when the answer is that you don’t need to hire anyone yet.
Step 1 of 3
Where are you right now?
Pick whichever sentence sounds most like your situation. There is no wrong answer and nothing to fill in.
Step 2 of 3 (optional)
What’s actually in the way?
This adjusts the answer below. Skip it and the answer still stands.
Step 3 of 3
Your next move
Where you are
This is the most honest answer on this page, and it’s more common than the other five. It usually means you’ve had good advice from several people that pointed in different directions.
You also said: I don’t know what it should cost
Fair. Nobody publishes real numbers. Mine are on the services page, and the starting prices are real starting prices. If your budget is below them, say so on the call; I’d rather cut scope than pretend.
What matters now
- Get one person to look at the whole picture instead of their slice of it
- Write down what you’re actually trying to achieve this year, not what you’re trying to build
- Work out what you’d need to know to make the decision
What can wait
- Choosing a technology
- Committing to a budget
- Hiring anyone, including me
Common risk at this point
Doing nothing for another three months because every option sounds plausible. That’s the most expensive option on the list and the easiest one to pick by accident.
What I’d suggest
A conversation first. If it turns out you need a plan, the Discovery Sprint is $1,200. If it turns out you don’t need anything yet, I’ll tell you that, and it costs you thirty minutes.
One next action
Book a 30-minute call. No pitch, just a conversation.
Think this is close?
This is a general answer built from one sentence about your situation. Thirty minutes gets you a specific one.
